Provence
Our time in Provence was short lived, we were here for only a day and half. We started our journey in Menerbes a quaint Provencal town where we bought excellent cheese and the town's people were very friendly. We walked for a little until the shops closed for siesta. Then we drove to Gordes, a village perched on a mountain cliff where we ate gelato, bought fresh fruit, and sat down and ordered a wine for Miry and a beer for me. We actually spent a lot of time here, we really wanted to explore this amazing town and it was well worth the time here. We found beautiful alleys that led to magnificent hidden views of our surroundings. We found each other often saying “can you believe this is real and that we're actually here.” We dreamt about coming to Europe and especially to Provence for a long time and now it was finally here.

But our journey didn’t end there, we kept on exploring and visited our next destination: Rousillon. This town is quite different from the previous two, Rousillon is painted with the red rock of mountains. We actually had the pleasure of speaking with a resident at Menerbes and recommend for us to visit this village she said many refer to it as “The Red Town”, and we're very glad we went. This was another picturesque village and it was really something because we were able to appreciate how unique each town was and at the same time how similar they where.
We met this very friendly shop owner who left Franco's Spain to France and started a new life in a foreign country and now owns a very provincial gift shop in the village of Rousillon. We stopped for an early dinner and had an spectacular view from the restaurant. Then we proceeded to go to a viewpoint where Miri was just clicking away taking pictures of the many different angles and I was able to sketch the town from where we were, this was extremely relaxing. Now were packing for our next journey. We will be in Paris tomorrow morning, we're extremely exited! See you all later.
