We finally made it to Amsterdam! We were debating between Morocco or Amsterdam and we're so happy we picked Amsterdam. If I could describe Amsterdam in a couple words, it would be that it is rich in color. The way the colors of the buildings blend together... the dark blues, greens, reds, and yellows. It something that is truly special.

Paris

Our time in Provence was short lived, we were here for only a day and half. We started our journey in Menerbes a quaint Provencal town where we bought excellent cheese and the town's people were very friendly. We walked for a little until the shops closed for siesta. Then we drove to Gordes, a village perched on a mountain cliff where we ate gelato, bought fresh fruit, and sat down and ordered a wine for Miry and a beer for me.

Mama Shelter

We flew into Provence this morning and rented a car so we could travel more freely. Our hotel was in the busy city of Marseille. Mama Shelter is this super alternative hotel - clean, modern, and hip. We checked into our room and played with the hanging masks they have for guests to actually take pics and play with them. Also they have iMac TV's which had free movies and music, I must say we really liked the concept of this hotel and it's been our favorite so far. We also took pictures with the Photo Booth in the room and in the dining area which were displayed downstairs at the lounge. The hotel became a hot spot at night where all the locals came to eat and have drinks and listen to the live DJ. The French are super friendly so far and they even helped us with our French pronunciation. The next post will be about our tour of the Provencal Villages.

Barcelona

We got this real good deal on AirBnb. We found a real beautiful and modern studio in Madrid. Our host is the Spanish Photographer, Alvaro Villarrubia. He was super kind and helpful. Alvaro payed attention to every detail. For example, he had Flamenco music playing in the background in our flat when we arrived and had the fridge stacked with goodies, water, and milk for our coffee. I totally recommend all my friends to stay here when they visit the beautiful city of Madrid. http://www.alvarovillarrubia.com/

Madrid the City that Never Sleeps
